HOUSING

Contact the Host Institution before you leave. They are always more than happy to help you seek for accommodation. Also, check if the rent includes utilities (gas, electricity, hot water, etc.), or you could not control your budget later on. You also need to estimate the travel cost if you would prefer a place far from school.

Electricity

- Voltage: 110V

- Plug design: North America
You should bring a plug adapter with you, or you may have to spend $2-5 to get one.

Laundry

You may need to pay for your laundry at any laundry shop in the area. The cost depends on how big the washer/ dryer is. Normally it ranges from $1 to $2 per load. Store quarters for this purpose.

Furnishings

A television is your good "housemate". It entertains you and also helps you improve English. In addition, you should always pay attention to the "Weather Forecast".

If you cannot afford a TV set, either a radio or a thermometer is an alternative. Do not forget to check the outside temperature before you leave the house.
